Re: Dragon Con?
There was a small 501st booth this year and a cool parade. But the reality is it's one huge block party so prepare your liver.timpanilopp wrote:I have heard we go to Dragon Con in Atlanta GA in august. I was wondering what we usually do there. I was looking into going to the con and I would love to attend with the 501st if we are going this year. If anyone has any details or get any this summer. Please let me know. Thanks!

No preference, you can just submit to either or both when you are ready. Congrats on your build and welcome to the forumsishyblue wrote:Thanks!
I’ve posted there and with the Mercs, too, since it’s a dual submission costume. Is there a preferred order in the submissions process for this?

Re: (NC) Dec 2 Carolina Hurricanes Star Wars Night (Raleigh)
This was a great event, we had a blast
My only advice to the Hurricane's staff is for them to just tell us how many groups they need and we split the groups up into what makes sense. I think it would save both parties a ton of time, and keep the groups divided into characters that make sense - Rather than them randomly pairing characters last minute.

Location: Greensboro Science Center - Greensboro, NC
Description of Event: Tossing for Tamarins is a cornhole event to raise money and awareness for the Golden Lion Tamarins, an endangered New World monkey native to Brazil. This event was hosted at GSC and run by the NC American Association of Zoo Keepers (NC AAZK). The event this year fell on Friday the 13th and as a result had a Halloween theme. There will be a costume contest (paid guests only), along with the cornhole tournament (paid guests only), raffle, photobooth, music, food, and adult drinks with all proceeds going directly to the "Save the Golden Lion Tamarin Charity". Due to potential rain, the event took place inside at the aquarium. GSC reported that there was overwhelming kudos for the 501st Legions attendance.
