The Roller Derby team held their yearly Star Wars game bout, and of course wanted us back again. We had a great time and both the fans, staff and Derby members loved having us there. This is always a super fun event and they can't wait for their next Star Wars bout.

Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
This event was supporting the Greensboro Urban Ministry at one of our local Wal-Mart Supercenter stores. We had a great turnout from both store employees and customers, collecting 30 dollars in donations and 130 total cans/boxes of food raised. Everything that was raised was donated directly to the our local Urban Ministry in the hopes of helping to end Hunger, by Trooping!!

Four Seasons Grande Theater


Description of Event:
This was a great Troop, we all had a blast. We did patrols of the hallways and exterior of the Theater, surprising a great many fans coming to see both the Star Wars movie and others as well. When the movie ended, some of us made our way inside the rooms themselves to stand on either side of the exit ramp. The stunned expressions of movie goers were amazing. As a thanks for coming to show our support of Star Wars and the Theater, our POC Anothony Wiggins, supplied us with pizzas, drinks and wings. It was a great troop and one we all look forward to doing again next year.

Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
The party was for my daughter's 9th birthday. It was Star Wars themed, of course. We had tons of Star Wars decorations, food and drinks. We had Star Wars themed games, like toss the thermal detonators, defeat the Dark Lord Pinata and other various such things.

Did this event support a charity? If yes, which charity?:
Per my daughter's request, her birthday present money was taken to a local animal shelter where she donated it to help the homeless animals. We attempted to get someone to come to her party, but they were unable to make it.

Event Length (Hours):
The 501st and friends trooped from about 2pm - 4:30pm, but some of them arrived sooner to help with party setup. (Thanks a ton!)

Thanks!! I'm really looking forward to hearing from the GML, I jump for my phone anytime I get an email notification. I'm in hopes I go through today or tomorrow, it would make a great birthday present for tomorrow lol.

Already got a good one today. Came in 3rd place for a costume contest. Some super Steampunk chick beat me out, but my wife took first with her custom Lady of the Sith,Twi'lek character. So there's always that lol

Greetings and Salutations,

My name is Josh, and I wanted to drop a line (topic) and introduce myself to the Carolina Garrison within the forums. I'm currently awaiting approval for my COTF Nihilus costume, but in the mean time I wanted to say "Hello". I know a few members have seen me around at Conventions and what not, and more often than not I was asked if I was a member already. Sadly I had to inform them I wasn't, to which their reply was that I should join up. So, here I am. I don't know what more to say other than that, and that I'm looking for to spending a lot of time trooping with you all in the very near future.
