Re: New Shadow Trooper- Coming Soon!!!
There are a number of "costume" underarmor tops and bottoms you can easily get from amazon for cheap. You want to simply look for black as possible. spandex is best. Get it very close to your size. Some advice, if you get a XXS and you're a Large, thinking you want a tight fit, it'll stretch so much you'll be able to see through it. lol.

Re: Getting started
Hi Ethan, and welcome. Appreciate you starting the journey. There is an abundance of information here and at the Whitarmor forums. May I first suggest this particular one.Emansfield96 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 10:50 pm Hi I’m interested in joining the 501st I have always been a huge fan from a young age. I have had a big interest in stormtroopers and have started a collection for a few years, and what better way to display my interest than to BE a stormtrooper. I have absolutely no idea where to go from having a helmet. If anyone can help me find approved vendors, what to do, or even tips on building my own suit anything would be helpful! Thank you for your time.![]()

As for Armor, you can determine where to buy, who to look out for, who not to buy from, build threads on how to do it yourself, kitting, how to get approved for the 501st and your official TK number!... and much more. Have you decided what particular armor set you are looking for?

Re: ESB Stormtropper in progress, reporting in.
Hello troopers,
I received an update from RS Propmasters today. They have finished production of my TK ESB Armor. It is being inspected and adjusted based upon my measurements given this week, with the intent to package and ship next week!

Re: Future Tie Pilot in Charlotte, NC
Hi Rusty. Quick question because I see a few tie fighters pilots lately, where did you acquire your gear?

Thanks Chris! Great reply. Ok. I think I know a Justin from Whitearmor who’s also “mentoring” a little with me.
I’ll begin posting progress build pics soon. Thanks again.

Re: 501st wannabe
Oh my goodness thank you for posting this. I was also unsure.bobafett4ever wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 5:26 am Ok, cool. I know it can be confusing... garrison vs. detachment. (And in case you're not 100% sure, Garrison is the local "group" of 501st members, in this case North and South Carolina make up the Carolina Garrison, whereas a Detachment is a group of similar costumes within the 501st. Hence, the 501st has many Garrisons and Detachments. You can be part of many detachments, but only one Garrison).
Anyhow, if you need any help or have questions, don't hesitate to ask!

ESB Stormtropper in progress, reporting in.
Good Evening all,
First, and intro. My name is Craig Best. I have posted as "Harder" on the Whitarmor forums. I am in progress of acquiring the armor and soft materials to eventually supply to join the ranks with you all.
I am a single father of 4 boys. Oldest is 25, youngest is 9. I know.. didn't learn my lesson. lol. Love kids, and have a tremendous soft heart for children. Like all of you a huge fan of Star Wars. So much so, I have purchased an ESB fully finished commission set of armor from RSPro. The armor should arrive first week of November. I plan to do unboxing pics and a video... I will post it on youtube.
I recently joined some of you at the Fort Macon photo even in Atlantic Beach / Moorehead City. I met a couple of you, sorry I forgot some names already, however, I am looking to get to know you all soon as I can. Jeremy, Mr and Mrs Casino, Scott, Jeremy, and I wanna say Tiffany? Was a great time. The Jawas really sold it. Talk about being fully engrossed "in character".
I have the UKSWrath iComm and the helmet fans ready to put in the bucket when it comes. I get every other week updates from RSPro.
I do have a few questions.
I believe this to be the order of events, but something seems a little off.
1. I have selected the armor maker, and ordered the armor.
2. I have registered here at my Garrison.
3. I have registered at Whitearmor for help.
4. I have registered at the 501st. (but I cannot post anything... literally just a username at this point)
5. I have found the GML (Jeremy and Andrew) for this Garrison.
6. I will take pictures of my armor once it arrives, and submit to the "Pre-Approval" thread on whitearmor when I have them.
7. I will then make any adjustments as necessary (going for Centurion)
This is where I dont know what happens....
How do I submit the "ready" armor to the 501?
when will a TK be assigned?
Once one is assigned, do I go back to whitearmor and give notice with the profile link in the "new recruit" section... I believe so.
And MOST importantly.
How do I sign up to go to events and help.
Thats the goal.... I want to be a part of this.
Best Regards, and thanks for reading,
Craig Best... ESB Stormtrooper
