Howdy Carolina Garrison! My name is Rick and I am from Jacksonville. I have been lurking here for a few weeks, and I finally decided to make an intro post, particularly after being able to help out this past weekend's troop in New Bern for Special Needs Baseball! I must say, it was a great time, and I loved seeing the looks on all the participants' faces! I'd like to thank James aka "Vader" for letting me know about it and for letting me help out. I'd also like to thank Jeremy and his family, Logan, Ben, and there was another gentleman there dressed out a the lone Jedi who's name is escaping me right now. Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of the day.
So a little bit about me: I'm a retired Marine that still does some contracting work on Camp Lejeune. Married with kids, and I absolutely love Star Wars (but then again, who here doesn't? Isn't that why we all freely give up our time and money to do this?) Anywho.....I met James a bit ago through a mutual friend, and our significant others work together. He is the reason I have pulled the trigger to start this journey to becoming a member. I currently have a few projects going: I am near completion of a Din Djarin helmet (with armor and other parts to come). I am currently 3D printing a RoS Kylo Ren helmet for my son (won't be to CRL specs), and I am also in the process of purchasing a set of TK armor
. Once I have that armor, I'll be taking my pics and submitting for approval (hopefully)!! I'll be sure to update here as I make any progress on any of the builds I am doing. Current progress in pics below (sorry they are so big, but I can't figure out how to make them smaller).
So that's me, and I look forward to meeting more of you as I work through the approval process, and hopefully start trooping in the near future!
