Re: Anyone still here from 2005-2006?

Not that far back, 2009, but I have that same armor shrinking problem. It’s amazing how ABS plastic can shrink like that....and under armor..... and canvas Scout Trooper cummerbund.....and.....never mind....

WELCOME BACK!

(NC)OCT. 11-SWRD - North Regional Library(RALEIGH)

Being Ordered by the Emperor to conduct surveillance and recon on a possible Rebel outpost, TB 8286 got boots on the ground for Star Wars Reads Day III at the Wake County North Regional Public Library. After gleaning intelligence of local activity from local administrators (THEY WERE MOST COOPERATIVE), TB 8286 was able to interact with 100+ children and their parents. There were crafts, a trivia contest and photo ops with the Scout Trooper and a cutout of the "Droids We Are Looking For." We handed out 100 trading cards and I got at an email from a parent thanking us (The Garrison) for the appearance. The Library really appreciated the appearance and did everything to make the event a huge success.

May 4th, 2014 SW Night at Durham Bulls- Durham, NC

Mission Report-Star Wars Night at the Durham Bulls- 05/04/2014

Called into duty by Lord Vader himself, the Carolina Garrison responded to meet the threat of Rebel sympathizers and autism. Accompanying the Dark Lord of the Sith were troopers, ably lead by the stoic officer. Reports that the masses had Rebel ties proved to be correct; several Rebel notables appeared. The Rebel presence attracted the attention of two bounty hunters as well.

The Durham Bulls Athletic Park was host to our participation in the annual SW Night at the Durham Bulls. OUr presence was requested to help draw crowds and to generate more interest in the Charity Auction of the R2-D2 Jerseys. Over $19,000.0 was raised by the auction. Members posed for as many pictures as this trooper can remember since Star Wars in Concert. Lord Vader “force” pushed the first pitch out and subsequently battled Wool E. Bull, severing the insidious Bull’s gloved hoof in the process. Troopers intervened when the Bull’s racers rounded third, and Nuke was escorted off the field by the Empire’s Finest.
The Cantina dance cam revealed that princesses can dance and most troopers can’t.

A great time was had by all.

Present in Costume were:
Scott Wilmouth- Darth Vader- Bulls POC
Brandon Hurley- ID
Jim Epps-TK
Andrew Greeson-TK
J. Stultz-TK

The RL posted good attendance with crossover appearances by:
Chad Pulliam- Obi Wan
Sandie Galvez-MacLachlan- Ceremonial Leia
Liz Welsh-Arena Padame
Kim Willis-Aayla
Alex Wilson- Rebel Pilot
Jane Willer- Luke
Pam Greeson- Jedi

The Mercs fielded:
Steve Delew
Adam Beasley

Re: Shake things up....

Things have been sorta frantic with elections going on....

Good to see another Scout lending a hand and jumping in.
