Capitol Comics - Raleigh NC 4/4/13

After assisting Lord Vader and his mission for the Empire at Ultimate Comics in Durham during their Free Comic Book Day event on May 4, he dispatched my self and TC8902 to nearby Raleigh and Capitol Comics to continue our mission of conquering the state on this May the 4th Be With You Day and turning more to the dark side. After a brief stop to refuel our transports and rehydrate, we made the short journey (did not even require a jump to light speed) and arrived at our destination. Upon entering, it was a small but very busy shop with many there to partake in the days activities. After informing the shops proprietor that we were there at Lord Vader's request, he grew excited (but we know it was a cover of the fear of our leader) and welcomed us happily. After searching the facility, no Rebels were found (but we did find a large amount of periodicals small statuettes and figures and even photos of familiar faces)so we secured the business by standing guard at the door. Many photos were taken and smiles were seen on all f the faces. While we were small in number, our impact was great and many fans were present by the large number of shirts observed with Lord Vader's image (as well as a few we will not mention.) As business trickled down later in the afternoon, we took our leave knowing the Empire had a strong foothold at Capitol Comics.

Carlina Garrison Mentioned in new Rusiian Outpost Webzine

Pretty cool work by the CO of the Russian Outpost. Even has a piece about our Garrison in it. Just thought I would share here for members and visitors alike.

Re: Wonderfest 2013 (April 5, 2013)

Good fun man and we all had a blast. Sadie has quite the hoard of toys from the event. Folks, local companies and merchants came out and donated loads, and I mean loads of toys to every kid that came. We will be back next year if at all possible. And man,,,,I see my mid sash is unrolled in the last couple of pics,,makes me look fat,,,oh wait I am!

was an ton of fun and like tom said the kids participating were incredible. Loas of High Schoolers very much into Star Wars, knew as much or more about it as we did and many really wanted to be in 501st. Not a single teenager was rude nasty or smug, all were wonerful to be around which give syou hope. The staff (Ashley and her crew) were great to us. All in all a wonderful time, while I am a newbie I could see this being a great event with a larger turnout on our part. Both for the fundraising but also getting in touch with tons of people old and new who are interested in what we do!

Oh yeah, and Tom forgot to mention spandex!
