Re: Raeford, NC
If you do their commission make sure to get excellent measurements, building a kit yourself is also not as bad as it would seem. So if you would like to save the money assembling is not to bad. However their commission would save some time, though some adjustments may be needed for that perfect trooping fit once you get it.

Re: Armor build help in Columbia, SC
I think we are working on getting an armor party set up. No details though yet and I would assume probably be in the charlotte area though that has yet to be determined either. Not sure of any of the local folks in that area either that might can lend a hand. I personally had to pull out a towel and work in the apartment living room floor on my first build haha.

Sounds like a plan. As long as you can manage the wait! Haha. Trimming isn't so bad, and when the time comes I'll offer my help as well if you'd like it.

Re: Raeford, NC
Welcome! Looks like you are already off to a good start and doing some good homework! Ebay is essential the no go zone for anything 501st costume related, essentially impossible to sift through all the bad to find the little good that might actually reside. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Re: Greetings from beaufort NC!
As far as selling ebay will probably be the place to do it. You can post it for sale on whitearmor.net as well and see if anyone might be interested there.

Re: Greetings from beaufort NC!
I am currently helping another member working with the same kit. The helmet is a no go. You will need another helmet. As mentioned before whitearmor.net is everything stormtrooper and all the resources are there. Tons of tutorials, links to supplies, and everything else under the sun. The ab buttons do appear to be wrong color and the TD appears to be silver. 501st.com also has the CRLs for the costumes and can provide some help. For a helmet replacement I would look to ATA, email is ataworks@yahoo.com he also makes entire kits but with wait time. Helmet in no assembled and requires some work, you can also look at for sale threads on whitearmor.net and catch something every now and again. In my opinion without knowing what you are working with money wise or have done with this yourself I would try and sell this kit for a more accurate one, just my outside opinion.

(NC) April 11 - LexingCon (Lexington)
Troopers in Attendance:
Austin T. TK
Jeremy P. TR
This was the second Lexingcon event. It felt a lot like the first one and had quite a few familiar faces. It was me and Jeremy out in force for this one. Sorry for lack of photos, did not have much in terms of photography. The event was held in the same location and was a smaller event. Still packed quite a punch and I was pulled in to help judge their costume contest!

(NC) Mar 7 - Dynamic Con / Charity Event (Raleigh)
Onward to event 3 of 3!! The day has been a good one and one final troop to finish it off. This was Dynamicon. A small banquet formal event to raise money for Dynamic. Ran into Tyler and as a bonus surprise Andrew S was here as well upon walking into the changing room. We were treated awesome here with our own changing room supplied with food and drinks. We just mingled around and took photos for the most part. Not sure of a total that was raised unfortunately, though Brandi said someone put down a $7,000 bid on something, do not think we managed to run into our contact at the event. Chad came over from the Cub Scout event as well to attend this one. Also thank goodness for flash, the rooms were all pretty dim and especially while wearing the helmet the lighting seemed even lower, otherwise photos would have been impossible!

(NC) March 7 - Cub Scout Blue & Gold Night (Raleigh)
With the successful completion of event 1 we now roll on over to event 2!! This was the Cub Scout Blue & Gold Night. Met up with Chad from RL to make for a most impressive event. I wish we could have had a few more troopers as the scouts and the adults here are total Star Wars addicts. They had a separate area to the side for us to take photos. They had TONS of Star Wars decorations, Star Wars trivia, and Star Wars themed desserts! They had me and Chad judge the desserts and choose the Winner. Third place we chose the Stormtrooper marshmallow and graham cracker tie fighters. Second place was the R2-D2 cake. First Place was the Admiral Ackbar Applesauce Cake (these were obviously a trap so we did not eat any). They were so nice to us and even fed us. I hope we get invited back again as I would like to take it up a notch next time around. We unfortunately could not stay the entire time in order to make the last event so they even modified their schedule so that we could help pass out awards for the scouts which was super awesome!!
