You need only ask:

Just send me a request and it'll open in drive once approved.

It was a fun one, I was one of our many photographers at the same time running around like a chicken with my head cut off.
Secretly, I posed as Luke but deep down I'll always be Red.

You are very welcome....it's going to be hard to troop in the guard and take photos at my next event when I choose to do it.

Re: Howdy! Hunting down the parts for my first costume...
JoAnn's or Mary Jo's (I think that's what it's called out there). Again, our detachment has all the info and it's based on your body type and the requirements of the costume. I know my guard was custom made for me by a member who is now with Garrison Tyranus so your best bet is to find a really good seamstress to put it together.

Re: Howdy! Hunting down the parts for my first costume...
Hello Christopher,
If you are interested in doing a Royal Guard, I suggest you check our detachment at www.forcepike.net . I'm an AOTC guard and there are three movie versions of the guard including AOTC, ROTS, and ROTJ. There are differences between all three. For example, AOTC guards are two slitted guards which means you have two slits on the side, dark smoky red or black visors and black jackboots (they can also be red suede but black is the AOTC style), ROTS which is the four slitted guard cloak and ROTJ which is the one slit. It all depends on what style you want. The helmet and the cloak fabric which is velvet will set you back a lot since the helmets are rare to find unless you know of a place or member to make the helmet. You will need both burgundy and the regular velvet for your guard. Again, I would suggest you refer to our CRL and our detachment for your guard needs.
With Regards,
Jane Willer

Re: Greetings from beaufort NC!
Welcome Jason!
I'm the Regional Rep for your area and although I am not a TK expert we have plenty on our boards. Currently, I'm working on getting us set up for our Third Appearance at Crystal Coast Con for 2015. If you have any questions just let me know...I'm a Royal Guard so I get the cool pointy Staff of Ra. Congrats on your interest in joining the garrison.

Re: Imperial Guard Build
Hi there,
How they did mine was an old pool cue, an old bathroom faucet that is glued to the bottom, o-rings, o rings that are painted silver and a grease gun tip. The activator button on mine is from an old lightsaber toy.

Re: Imperial Guard Build
JoAnn's does have it but you have to find enough of it for both the interior lining, your inner robes, obi/sash and then the red for your outer robes. That's the challenge really.

Re: Imperial Guard Build
Looking forward to seeing the progress pics on your guard. I don't think we have any ROTS guards but I do know we have a ROTJ Guard and a few AOTC Guards, one being me. Welcome to the wonderful experience of being a Royal Guard!
