(NC) Nov.19th - Asheville Toy Expo (Asheville)
Date:
Nov. 19th 2016
Location:
Asheville Toy Expo in Asheville Nc.
Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
This was the fifth Asheville Toy Expo event the 501st has appeared at in Asheville North Carolina. The event took place at 9 AM to 3 PM. We believe there was a total of around 260 people at the event. We had a great table set up manned by Anthony Conte the entire day. The show started off a bit slow due to unforeseen circumstances. Downtown where the event is located was closed off due to their annual Christmas parade. This was scheduled way after the toy show was announced. Troopers ended up going outside during the parade to invite people into the convention. We pretty much ended up in the parade! We walked up and down the sidewalk of the event and took tons of photos with excited fans. At one point we heard the grand marshal of the parade was not too happy with us jumping in. just at that point we saw motorcycle cops approaching us, we thought the gig was up. When and actually the police officers wanted photos with us. Everyone in the crowd started laughing. A great time was had by all!
