(SC) April 22 - Myrtle Beach Pelicans Star Wars Night
Date:
Friday, April 22, 2016
Location:
Myrtle Beach Pelicans- TicketReturn.Com Field
1251 21st Ave North
Myrtle Beach, SC
Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
Special thanks for everyone who took the extra step to drive out here and help raise money for Make A Wish. I know a lot of you have a good 2 hours or longer drive and you all need to know that is not going overlooked, and everyone at the ballpark thanks you all for helping make this one of the best Star Wars nights. With that said they welcome us back next year and can't wait to see us all again and hope for big turn out. We had everything from Storm Troopers, Snow Trooper, Biker Scout, Imperial Tie Fighter Reserve Pilot, Sand Troopers, even First Order Storm Trooper and to mention the Rebels that came to keep us all in check! Chad Varn, Brad Butler, and Caroline Boyd did a great job making sure we didn't take over the stadium.
The weather was great and the host Jen made sure we had everything to keep us happy. Even had us in a suite just above home plate. I was happy to meet some new faces and get to know some of you better. Always a blast hanging out with JP and Jason Boyd this was are second time trooping together. Chad Varn of the Rebel Legion had me laughing a lot he is one funny guy. It was great to see everyone bring out the family and have a great time relaxing at the ballpark.
Andrew Rochelle got to show off his awesome looking First Order Storm Trooper gear, man that is one awesome job! Shanda Sheperd showed up giving everyone lots of smiles glad to finally meet her can't wait to troop again. Big thanks to Caroline Boyd who was Leia in Endor without her helping me see on the field I would have been a wreck. Need to find out how to install some fans in the Snow Trooper helmet. Glad to see her again and the kids having a great time! Taylor Seay was on the scene as TB-11701 and I wish I had the photo of him sitting on the bikes the ballpark is giving away. He sat on some kid bike and that had us all laughing, always a blast hanging out with this guy. JP Morgan and Brad Butler always hanging out making kids laugh and keeping everyone interested in the 501st always a good time with them two get together.

TD-13167 and TS-16660 always on the hunt for rebel scum in the area.

Everyone put some good time in checking out the area and keeping the kids happy. Many adults got excited and had us all taking pictures for a good part of the day. Chad Varn with the Rebel Legion even threw out T-Shirts and the pizza scream event. But got a little quite when they ask for someone to start the 7th inning stretch.

TI-91886 and TK-11714 along with Brad Butler of Rebel Legion did a great job keeping everyone smiling and having fun. It's always a blast handing with JP and the crew.

If any of you can make it next year you won't regret it. They put us up in a hotel room a few blocks down from the ballpark. Had a blast please let me know if anyone has any questions.

Thank you all again and I will see you next year!!!!

SnowTrooper TS-16660 showing up for a solo mission to make sure all my fellow Star Wars fans go home and kick some rebel scum around.

Had a great time with all the people who showed up and all the employees at GameStop made this event really fun, I can't tell you how many times we laughed last night.

Special thanks to Dan at GameStop he really had everything planned out perfect and all the employees helped out even went out of the way to get us all something to eat. And also thanks to my daughter who helped out once again!

Had a blast talking to all the people and getting a chance to play the game a little early......very cool!!!!

Seems even the local police officer in town is a huge fan and stopped by to pick up his game and ask about joining. I definitely gave him my card and hope he gets in contact with someone to join.

Would have to say I had a great time and took a lot of pictures, had a lot ask about to 501st so I spread the news about what we do and how more people should get involved. Well I serve the Emperor once again and proudly I might add, but I'm going to play BattleFront so I'll see you fellow members later.

(SC) Oct 24th Make a wish $1000 B-Day Party Columbia
The Emperor would be happy to know that $1,255 was sent to Make A Wish in the name of Carolina Garrison.

The Smith family had an B-Day party for 6 year old Kane and a lot of Star Wars fans showed up to join in on the fun.

TB 11110 and TS 16660 showed up to make sure no rebels could crash the party.

Darth Vader and Kylo Ren even showed.

TB 11110 seemed to get on Vaders nerves and he got a little taste of the choke!!!

Overall we had a great time Chris and I took a lot of pictures and the kids and adults really liked the 501st showing up and putting on a great show.

Even had the HULK show up to the party...HULK SMASH!!!

Well after all that the Smith family said next year they would put up $2000 and will be giving us a call to come back. Jamie Smith sent a nice letter thanking Chris and I for driving out and making his sons day. I picked up a 20" Kylo Ren and Chris gave him a homemade Biker Scout Blaster a very nice gift!!!

Re: (SC) Sept. 13th - Florence Comic Con (Florence)
Oh man it's has no air flow....a lot of moisture build up. But when I stopped using the chin strap and mic. it was a lot better. Not talking slowed done the moisture and without the strap on my face I wasn't so close to the front. With no break in the 6 hour time I really just stepped aside put my hand inside the mask cleaned off the lens and keep on going. So many people they had me right when you walk in on the right.
But it was awesome I think it was a real eye opener. Ready for Logan's get together. And thank goodness for command strips, had to use one for my armor on my wrist. It got so hot the straps got wet and didn't stick so I glad I brought them.
All said just gonna put a few piece on a little tighter and away I go.

Well got the call from Vader to head down to Florence see about recruiting some new help and raising money for Make A Wish Foundation. As I report just a few Jedi In the area. I did see a lot of soon to be little troopers around and made sure they knew how to find us in the near future.
It was just my daughter and I for a little while then a fellow Tie Pilot - Brad Lee - TI - 8560 showed up to give a hand before having to depart. All said and done with a good amount of photos taken, even a line around 3:30, we raise $72.53 for Make A Wish. This was my first time out so after 6 hours of Trooping I had to call it. It was a blast and people had a great time. Put the word out Carolina Garrison 501st was in the building and had a lot of kids and adults smiling.
I guess you can say the best part is seeing kids faces when I let them hold my blaster. They really liked shooting the SnowTrooper and I'm not gonna lie, so did I. Thanks again Jason Hill and Jason Boyd without you guys helping me out I would not have been able to pull this off.
Well I'm going back to Hoth to chill out for a while. See you guys around!!!!
