Re: New future trooper hopeful!
Thanks again everyone! Negative, I've been spending a ton of time looking at how to videos and the sc website. I think helmet and boots is where I want to start, based on being (from what I've read) most labor intensive and (from my own imagination) the devil of the details. What pieces/ vendors/ materials would you recommend for those components? I've read anywhere from good tan soled boots to cheap crappy ones, with anything from white leather to marine vinyl. I don't even know where to get that stuff. I suppose a marine supply store???

Re: New future trooper hopeful!
Awesome, thanks again! As I cruised through the CRL, I noticed advice to stay away from the Rubies armor parts and other vendors, so I definitely want to do it right.

Re: New future trooper hopeful!
Thanks so much for the immediate support! I have looked into the cost and some kits, so I have a rough idea about the investment. Good recommendation to take it one piece at a time, I think that'll be easier for the wallet to handle too! I look forward to meeting/working/learning from you all!
Thanks for the links!!

New future trooper hopeful!
Hey, everyone! I'm Chris. Located in the Charleston area, new to the group and looking to get involved. I have NO idea what I'm doing or how to get started, I've read the CRL and totally got overwhelmed. So I guess this is more of a cry for help than anything else! I'd really like to work on A scout trooper build, but I understand that might not be the best place to start for someone having no experience. Hoping there's someone in my area that has some spare time to help!! Thanks in advance!
