Re: Nova Trooper Armor

I got my armor from RS and I can say that they are an excellent choice! They are very nice and willing to work with you and do things for you if you want them to. Now if you get a complete commission, like I ended up doing after having trouble building their kit when I knew nothing about armor building, it should be good to go. However I did have a few problems with it myself with my ANH TK. The thigh pieces I got were a little too long, still kinda are, I need to to trim them more, and you might need to trim them to be able to walk more effectively and/or comfortably. The belt I got from them was also a little too short, I had to extend it with some spare canvas belt material I had, you could always inquire about it to them. You'll also probably need to get a screen frown for the helmet, as otherwise people can see your face, especially during flash photography. Trooperbay sells one that works nicely. They suit has held up well in troops, I've damaged it a little but its mostly just my fault that its happened.

Here is a pic of me at a troop wearing it, i'm the one with the pauldron.

Here is a video of someone putting a RS suit on too, so you'll know how its put on if you do a complete commission.

Now I'd say its worth considering trying to build it a kit rather than get the complete commission. I don't know if they'd offer a kit to you but their is probably a vendor that sells black ABS TK armor, regardless, if you'd build it yourself you'd have a better understanding of the armor and how to repair and maintain it, as well as having the satisfaction of being able to say you built it yourself. It's also cheaper, as you probably know. You seem to be better connected than I was with the local group when I was trying to build my kit, so maybe see if anyone around you could help you build a kit if you go down that route? Might be helpful anyway, you'll probably have to paint the designs onto the armor anyway regardless.

Anyway, they are a good choice and I like my armor a lot!

(NC) July 1st - 4th of July Parade (Blowing Rock)

Date: July 1st, 2017.

Location: Blowing Rock, NC.

Description of Event: We were invited by the Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation department to participate in the 4th of July Parade for the town this year and to take photos in the park after the parade if we wanted to. We got dressed an hour before the parade started and walked our way to our place in the parade, stopping to take a few photos along the way. Once the parade started and we began to walk we a instant hit, we had a hard time, or at least I did, keeping up with the float ahead of us because of our popularity! After we walked back to the changing area, we took a break and Mike decided to head back to Hickory. Me and Shannon decided to go back into the park a little afterwords and stayed out for about an hour before heading back to desuit ourselves.

I think everyone involved had a great time time at this troop! We we're certainly a hit with the kids and even some of the adults and I think we were easily one of the highlights of the parade! The Parks and Recreation director, Jennifer Brown, seemed to really enjoy us and seemed interested in maybe inviting us to future events. This troop was certainly a learning experience, learned quiet a few things to keep in mind for future troops. But regardless, it was a great time and I look forward to more events in the future in the are potentially! Also thanks to my family and Nikki Cromer for being our handlers and taking the photos!

Re: Brand new...help!

Hello there and welcome!

I don't know much about where the best places to get boots, belts, and gloves would be, but the FISD would be a great place to look around, if you make an account on it, if you haven't already, you can look through the marketplace and see what people are selling, I think a few people are selling some belts and gloves on there currently, not sure about boots. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Regarding E-11's, I know a lot of people like the Hyperfirm E-11's since their really tough and invincible, you can contact them here https://www.facebook.com/HFx-Production ... 386576227/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or on the FISD as I think as he also advertises on there. Other than that, I don't know, I got my E-11 with my commission from RS Prop Masters and its really nice, but it probably isn't very durable compared to a Hyperfirm, I don't really want to test it to find out for obvious reasons, but they do make a nice blaster, http://www.rspropmasters.com/product/e- ... r-blaster/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, it seems their out of stock currently however.

I think there is one thing you could help me out with if you don't mind if I message you about it?

Greetings from the Appalachians!

Hello there! My name is John Leppard and I am from Blowing Rock, NC in the Appalachians and I've been meaning to introduce myself here on the forums for awhile! I'm hoping to be able to join up soon in December once I get my complete RS Prop Masters ANH Stunt TK commission, which should arrive around then hopefully.

In the meantime I am looking into potentially making a ANH Tie Pilot/Reserve Pilot and getting the materials to be able to use my TK armor as a Heavy Weapons Trooper as well! In the far flung future when my skills with making armor improves greatly I was thinking about trying to make a Zakuul Knight costume from Star Wars: The Old Republic.

It was also a pleasure to meet several of you at NC Comic Con on Friday and Charlotte Comic Con awhile back! I hope to have the pleasure to meet you all in the future and I'll see you all out in armor!
