Star Wars Night at The Hop, Asheville - Sept. 24

The Hop Ice Cream Cafe in Asheville contacted us about having a Star Wars night, where they agreed to donate 50% of that night's sales to Make A Wish. How can anyone pass on an opportunity to raise money for a great cause by enjoying Star Wars and ice cream at the same time?? From 5-8 PM the place was packed with Star Wars fans of all ages, sometimes it was hard to tell who was more excited.... the kids or the parents! We had a Tatooine backdrop set up for photo opportunities and a great variety of costumes. The staff at the Hop was great to work with and some of the employees were even dressed in Star Wars costumes! All in all, is was a great night and the Hop presented a check to Make A Wish in the Carolina Garrison's name for $275. I think everyone involved had a great time and it sounds like the Hop would like to make this an annual event!
