October 5th was, without a doubt, a busy day for the Legion and the Carolina Garrison alike. In Western North Carolina we spent the day at the Asheville Mall Barnes and Noble where we were joined by young readers who were thrilled by the fantastic selection of Star Wars literature. Families enjoyed arts and crafts, story telling, Star Wars trivia, and of course... hanging out with the Carolina Garrison! The B&N employee that normally coordinates this even was unable to be there so another employee had to coordinate everything at the last minute. She really did a great job considering she just found out that morning.
Once the event concluded, we took a stroll through the Asheville Mall and took lots of photos with surprised shoppers. I don't think anyone was expecting to see Lord Vader and Boba Fett at the makeup counter in Belk...
