11/16/2013 Firefighters Support Team Open House

Post by NegativeEleven »

This was a weird one and I didn't really understand till I got there. The Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team (http://www.firefightersupport.org) has converted an old North Charleston, SC fire station into a support center to offer counseling and advice (medical, emotional, financial) to firefighters and their families. To let everyone know about the new location, they held an open house with food, music, and entertainment (mostly for kids). Taylor Seay (TB) and I (TB) went out with our favorite Mandalorian Merc, Alex Smith, for a couple of hours to "mingle" with the crowd and take pictures. I'm gonna do some editing before I share it, but I got a great video of Taylor and I in the jump castle.

We didn't have a handler, so it was hard to get pictures, but they had an official photographer, so I'm sure pictures will show up on their website or their facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lowcount ... 8762068091

Here's the video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYlIYb4HmFk

Full disclosure: I edited out the 45 seconds of me sitting on the floor because I was tired and the 30 seconds of trying to reattach Taylor's pouch when it came loose. I also figured I'd take out the audio so you wouldn't have to hear us thru voice amps panting and struggling to breathe with an occasional "I'm getting too old for this" from me. I replaced it with a song my band recorded that should be public domain. I do feel sad about cutting whoever said "I've got a bad feeling about this" as the camera started recording. That was awesome.

I hope I got all the necessary info in the description. Please let me know if anything needs to be added.

I uploaded to my Youtube account so you guys might be inclined to check out the other 2 videos. I started that account in 2010 because my friends and I planned on making more of those Fett videos. I'm aware the suit looked awful, but I think the concept still has potential and Justin did an amazing job of editing with iMovie.

A few more pictures from their official photographer. He claims we were more popular than the Stingray (hockey mascot) and the Chick-fil-a cow combined.
