11/22/2013 Barnes and Noble Charlotte

Had a great time yesterday. The newest member of the Carolina Garrison, Jerry Sienkiewicz, and I were able to celebrate our shared birthday at Barnes and Noble in Charlotte, NC. Cheralyn was contacted last minute and asked if the 501st could drop by for pictures with kids and the three of us were able to make it (although a little late). Jerry got there an hour before us and, as ROTS Vader, had to "fight" off the crowd by himself for a bit. Kids lined up and took turns battling Vader and posing for pictures. I had a couple of my Hasbro blasters that fire Nerf darts and we all took a few hits from the excited kids, as my girlfriend Stacy (first picture) helped store employees reload them. The staff was almost more excited to see us.

Glad to see my old officer's cap going to good use! Pretty lucky sharing a birthday with Darth Vader. lol
