Hey, everyone,
I know Tom will be posting about this in the member forums, and I just updated the front page of the website, but we had a very sad event take place within our garrison area this weekend, and are rallying to support the family involved. Here's a re-post from the website blog:
As an organization that celebrates our "geekiness"--our love of Star Wars and costuming--with our fellow 501st members throughout the world, our garrison was extremely saddened this weekend to hear of the attempted suicide of Michael Morones, a young man who was taunted to the point of trying to take his life for his own "geekiness." Michael is currently in a coma, and his prognosis/outcome are uncertain. His family is known to many of our members, and we send our thoughts and prayers to them all.
In addition, to help offset the mounting medical bills not covered by Medicare, we are spreading the word that any donations towards Michael's recovery are most gratefully accepted. Donations can be made through PayPal to csuttle3@gmail.com, or can be mailed to The Michael Morones Recovery Fund, 1380 Woodvine Way, Alpharetta GA, 30005. You can also visit www.playteamtrivia.com and click on the "News" section for more information on how to donate.
Any support, whether financial or through thoughts and prayers, is appreciated. Thank you for your support!

Found an update on Michael today via Facebook. He's doing a lot better and has made a lot of improvements over the past few days! Read the article here:
