Hey Everyone

My name is Sam. I'm from Raleigh North Carolina. I am really excited to start in the 501st. I am getting the supply's ready for a sand trooper costume. :sandtroopero: but while that is in the works I would love to help out in any way I can at events. I can't wait to get started.

Welcome to the CG Sam. We have a big event on Saturday coming up (Star Wars Reads Day). Many of us will be at the Raleigh Barnes and Noble at Triangle Towne Center if you'd like to meet us. Hope to see you there! :tarkin:

Welcome Sam.

Always helpful to have handlers at events (make sure we do not walk into walls pic taking etc...)

And follow that info I gave you on the kits and how tos.

Thank you for you warm welcomes to the group. I would love to help out this weekend but two main factors are stopping me. I have to work 3 to 6 and then I have no car. I hope you will let me tag along next time. Good luck with the event. It looks like a great cause

Hey guys sorry I have not been able to contact for a while my life got a little busy lately with the holidays and all. I am still Incredibly interested in joining. I was wondering if someone in the unit would be willing to help me start on a costume. I would like to set up a time that is convenient so we can meet in person and you can help me get started. I will be willing to compensate for time. I am drawn between a sand trooper and a Star Killer Costume. Please let me know your opinion. Thanks for your time guys and understanding.

Which Star Killer are looking to do? There are 8 different ones...

SL - Starkiller: Concept Sith Robes
SL - Starkiller: Dark Apprentice Robes
SL - Starkiller: Dark Lord's Armor (Hoth)
SL - Starkiller: Desert Survival Gear
SL - Starkiller: Heavy Training Gear (Raxus Prime)
SL - Starkiller: Light Training Gear (Felucia)
SL - Starkiller: Sith Stalker
SL - Starkiller: Training Gear (TIE Factory)

Which Sandtrooper are you looking to do? are you thinking about going SWAT?

I was thinking of the concept robe or sith stalker for star killer or I wanted to do a basic move along trooper. What is your opinion for getting started.

I afraid do not understand. I am doing my best to understand the form but I can't seem to grasp it. If I could have some one call me and help me understand how to start with the costume. Let me know my number is 919 608 8280 thanks for all your time.

Very Very hard choice!!!!

The Sith Stalker to me is a little cross between Vader meets the Lord Of the Rings Uruk-hai

one of the locals has the helmet and wants me to do the build on it (hoping to do that this spring....)

I will be happy to call you and talk to you about these costumes to get you on the right track.

Have you looked at the detachments where you get the parts and resources?

For the Sandtrooper costume and all that you needs for the build:
http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?act=idx

For StarKiller costumes and all that you needs for the build:
http://www.theflagshipeclipse.com/forum/index.php

Both those links will be where you will find the best site for all the needs and are there for recruits and anyone that is looking to build those costumes, just register (free) and take a look. I will give you a call (tomorrow may be hectic ) I have an event to do. but will try before it.
