Aspiring Stunt Trooper in Greenville

Post by RWinsel »

Hi all,

I spoke with Tom at SC Comicon yesterday about becoming a member of the 501st. We spoke at length about the process and I decided that a Stunt Trooper is probably the way to go. I have absolutely no experience with making armor or any idea of where to go to acquire the kit. I am ready to start buying now, so my question is where do I go to purchase? Is there a kit I can purchase that is easier to put together than any other? Thanks in advance for all the help and I'm glad to be here!

Welcome Rob! BTW, who had any experience when we started? Most of us didn't. Just a few tricks from some of the pros and you will be off in no time. The most important thing I have learned since just last Nov. is to ask plenty of questions. You already found one of the absolute best in Tom!!

Good luck

Hey Rob!!

Great meeting you at the con!!

I can get you started on you best vendors and add ons......I also want to go over getting you help on the build as well!

Stunt TK is very popular one of the most asked for other than Vader...

I was looking to do stunt tk. I am 6'1 about 190 pounds. I've been doing some research and I'm looking into pre cut AP armor to save time. Will that work?

AP is good vendor with a good product.

I would not ask for the precut (not going to same that much time and sometime you want a little fat (untrimmed) on the kit!!

I would also look at the TKtupperwares kit : tk tupperwaretk@yahoo.com you have height and the can help you the taller troopers not to have too much black showing....

the is a 6.2 guy ( a Carolina Garrison member) here in the TKtupperwares kit;

Hey Tom! Here it is! If you need more detailed pics let me know. My next step is trying to put it together lol. Is there any armor parties coming up? Or any other way to get help? If not I will be watching a lot of you tube videos. Thanks again!
