April 28th, Star Wars Knight with the Charlotte Knights

On Tuesday, April 28th, the Empire invaded BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte for the Charlotte Knights baseball team's Star Wars Knight! Assisted by Princess Leia (Cher Lambeth, TK976 in disguse), and citizen Davede Varner, our offical photographer, the Imperial force of Darth Vader (Jerry Sienkiewicz/SL21972), a Tusken Raider (Thomas Gardner/DZ5940), a royal guard (Jeremy Pastros/TR 11251), a crewman (Marcus Walker/TI 30715) and two stormtroopers (Andrew Rochelle/ TK50166 and pending TK Beth Pastros) patrolled the ball park greeting fans, posing for photos, and supporting the Knights as they battled the Toledo Mud Hens. Hundreds of baseball fans enjoyed the chance to see their favorite Star Wars characters, cheering as Lord Vader stepped in to assist in the "Royalty Race" on the field, and laughing to see Princess Leia on the KissCam with the team's mascot Homer the Dragon! This was the Carolina Garrison's second appearance with the Charlotte Knights, and we have been assured of an invitation for next year's Star Wars Knight.
