enlisting in the 501st

Post by Clockworkronin »

Is there a way to get into the 501st when the CRL for the costume isn't complete but still on the site?

I would wait for a member to respond, but I would assume so. Someone has to be the first through the door and the few right behind that. My guess is it could be approved but if you do not meet the CRL once it updates, you would have to make proper adjustments to remain approved.

Some CRL's have to be "written" when some members do a "first" for the Legion. So there's a chance you could be the "first" for a particular armor / costume.

Which are you looking at?

That one is a combination of ESB and ROTJ. What's your specific questions?

enlisting in the 501st

Heads up - Boba Fett is one of the most expensive and rigorous sets of armor to get 501st approval. Our GML (Garrison Membership Liaison) Tom Gardner could guide you in the proper direction. If you haven't already, visit our Garrison homepage and fill out our new Member Inquiry form. It will go directly to Tom and he can give you more guidance. Especially on the Special Edition Fett. Good Luck.

Yes I'm familiar with the the expense trust me on that one, I just purchased a ROTJ fett suit minus jettpack and flight suit from a member, and a esb helmet, it's my understanding that the rotj se fett is simply the rotj felt with the esb helm, if that's true I'm on the way to being set for it, otherwise I'd have to purchase a completely new helm, and one I don't even like very much :bobafett:

Hey Joseph!

Yeah you are correct on the SE Fett (ESB Lid and ROTJ rest).

but understand with any 501st costumes that the CRL is not finished that the costume goes through board that votes on it (LMO and GMLs)

So as you are doing your suit please run the parts and as you do the paint and weathering through me so I can help you not go in the wrong direction.

lot of issue I have seen have been paint tones weathering

2nd placement of the armor....

You can do one of two ways:

email me
or
post here for your build: viewforum.php?f=12" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It does help all to see builds....
