On July 10th 2015, The Summit church in Kernersville NC had a community movie night at Triad Park. The movie was Star Wars episode IV A New Hope. So of course they wanted the 501st in attendance for crowd control. The venue had a huge outdoor screen in an amphitheater setting. This event was first class. There were many food trucks on hand for patrons to enjoy dinner. They had tents set up with free sunblock and bug spray if you needed it. There was also free Popcorn and drinks for the movie viewers. It was 96 when we suited up so it was plenty hot but when the sun went down it was very nice. This was the first troop for Adam Jones TD-32208, who had only been approved for three days. There were four troops in attendance.
