Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
Annual Star Wars Reads Day event held at the Charleston Public Library (Main Branch). As always, this event will featured: games, activities and crafts for all ages at locations setup throughout the multi-story building.

Event started at 11 am with a march into the main area. Immediately we were mobbed by kids wanting pictures. We had a great turn out from the Carolina Garrison and over 1,500 people attendend the event this year.

Wow! That looks like it was a great event. It always makes such an impact when you have all of that armor in one place. No pesky sith lords to hog all the attention means more love the TKs!

It was a great event. I think next year we really need a Darth Vader. It would really add to it, especially if we could get 2 Royal Guards.

Great. I contemplated building a Vader, but I am too short. I get enough of the "You are a little short for a Stormtrooper, aren't you" comments as it is now.

I was gonna bring the Vader helmet/chest armor for display, but I decided against it last minute. It really could use a new paint job and every time I move it, no matter how careful I am, I always scratch it somehow.

Taylor, JP and I went upstairs for a little while and used the Green Screen App I bought for events last year and still haven't used. We should use this more. I might set it up at Atomacon.

I have like 20 widescreen images I photoshopped from screen grabs of the movies. I tried to remove any characters, so it's mostly scenery. I made them to have projected onto a stage during my 2012 Star Wars Day party, but the projector wasn't bright enough, so they didn't get used. I keep reminding people that with this green screen app, I can finally get some use out of them.

Maybe, since Cher will be there, I can get access to the CG instagram at Atomacon. My girlfriend will be watching the 501st table most of the day and can take pics with my old phone if there's WiFi.
