Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
Old Salem historic Museums and Gardens host a free Trick or Treat Night for the children in the community. Candy was given away at the doors of the exhibit buildings and retail stores, on Main Street, in the historic district. Old Salem called on the Carolina Garrison to maintain Order and pose for pictures with the Trick or Treat Crowd. Old Salem goes all out for this event. Over 300 lit pumpkins lined the fencing in the town square. They set up our Green Room in the historic Herbst House complete with Bathroom, kitchen and plenty of changing area. To be honest it was so cozy we almost couldn't get Brian to leave. After we got dressed we headed out to our spot to greet the crowd, and a crowd there was. We didn't get final numbers but somewhere between 5,000 and 6,000 children were in attendance. We posed for pictures and kept the crowd happy. This was a very fun event for all involved.
Below is an email sent from our event contact a day after the event.
Hi Matt,
I wanted to thank you and your group so much for being a part of Old Salem’s Trick or Treat Night last night in the historic district. Your characters were a big hit on South Main Street; could we even guess how many pics were taken there in 90 minutes? Wow!
Please pass our thanks and appreciation on to everyone who participated. We are so glad that you could find time in your schedule for us.
Happy Halloween!
