In anticipation of me being accepted into the 501st very soon, I need to make plans for upcoming events. Do you usually go online to all the events like Comicons and buy your admission tickets in advance for each event?

Once you are approved you will be given access to the Garrison Events forum. This is where we post all events and take sign-ups for those events by members. There are plenty of requests that come in all the time, either through the Carolina Garrison webpage, the 501st website or other groups we associate with (Rebel Legion, Mando Mercs, Etc.). We can, and do occasionally, arrange our own events and post them. You can troop on your own, of course, but most of us prefer to stay within the posted events. Being part of a group is simply more fun! You will get to meet people from all over the Carolina's and entrance to events is normally free to troopers who sign up for events (there may occasionally be an exception). We are a very diverse group with one thing in common: a love of Star Wars and making people happy.
Get your costume finished and submit your approval pictures. Then the real fun begins!
