I would like to. I've never done an event so this would be my first opportunity. Is there some kind of procedure I need to follow? Or do I just show up?

Yeah man...
Just sign up that you'll be attending on the Garrison Events - Discussions forums (you'll see the event thread) and then show up the day of. We can show you the ropes and stuff when you're there. Look forward to meeting you

Jason, KingYeti isn't a member yet, so he can't see event discussion.
I'm in North Charleston, happy to help anyone with armor. I'm a biker scout, so not real familiar with the steps involved with a TK, but I have tools, materials, a sewing machine, and a garage. I work nights, so my afternoons are usually open. I'm gonna be at the Hanahan event and the following weekend I will be doing a smaller event in Walterboro if you can't make it to Hanahan.

I think I am a member. I have access to the events page. I would love to attend. This would be my "first troop".

Sorry, Ryan. I saw "just finished my TK," and thought that meant needed help (armor party) getting it ready to apply.

so far, your trimming of the eyes and "teeth" look pretty good. When it comes time for faceplate to dome assembly you may need to take a 1/2" or so off so that the faceplate fits inside the forehead of the dome nicely.

Thanks now that you mention it I see that. Should be doing the fitting this weekend.

Hello from James Island!
I just started building my own armor(TK). I built the vacuum table and made casts of the helmet pieces. Finishing up the "oven" tonight.
I was curious as to what you used to cut the "teeth" from the mask. It looks pretty smooth.
Also, I would love to meet up with some troopers in the area and get a closer look at some armor.

I'd love to talk vacuum forming. I'm in North Charleston. I built myself an oven with help from an electrical engineer who lives on James Island.
