Location:The South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston, SC
Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
This is an annual event for people with a membership to the aquarium, like a season pass. Like last year, tickets for this sold out many days before the event. Local businesses and artists set up tables, games, etc throughout the aquarium and each table has a bowl of candy for trick-or-treaters. The Carolina Garrison was given a table right in front of the albino alligator. Parents tour the aquarium with their children (in costume) going from table to table as an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating on the streets. The costumes the kids bring get better every year. It's astonishing the effort put into many of them. While about half of the kids were too young to appreciate real life Star Wars characters, and some were scared of Kylo Ren, many were absolutely delighted to see the 501st Legion and our buddy R2-D2 there. And of course the parents loved us.
