Carolina Garrison

I joined the 501st Carolina Garrison - Charlotte detachment almost forever-ago. Last event I trooped was DragonCon 2006. Anyone still around from then? Still have my TK armor although if I lose about 20 more pounds, I might be able to fit in it again so I might be interested in rejoining.

Welcome back! Get your gear, and get out and troop! You will need to resubmit, but don't let that deter you from getting back in and having fun. The Garrison is as busy as ever, loads of events all over both states. Look forward to seeing you back in action.

Not that far back, 2009, but I have that same armor shrinking problem. It’s amazing how ABS plastic can shrink like that....and under armor..... and canvas Scout Trooper cummerbund.....and.....never mind....

Welcome back. I know Cheralyn and the Jordans have been trooping that long. I still see them all the time. I officially joined in 2013, after doing my first DragonCon in 2010!

You can always update those parts of the armor that don't fit. Doing a lot of outdoor events has quickly turned my armor yellow, so I assume you've got at least a little of that going on. Also if you've been inactive, you'll have to reapply and some costume standards have changed. I know we have a trooper down here who took a long break from trooping and just started fresh with a new set of armor.
