Looking to join from Beaufort NC

Hello everyone my name is Jason and I live in Beaufort NC, I'm looking to join and in need of help like everyone else lol.
I want to do the Rouge one stormtrooper.
I've already bought my armor that needs to be trimmed and I wanted to talk to someone so I don't ruin something. I have everything except the gun. I've been lurking on this site for a while and I've always wanted to join the 501st, a little direction would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome and glad to have you aboard. Just a little info...

The 501st is divided up regionally into Garrisons. Us, being the Carolina Garrison, is obviously North and South Carolina. Howerver, within the 501st there are also detachments. These are like minded costume(s) groups/forums that folks can go to for help on builds, questions, pictures, details, etc., of specific types of costumes. Hence, for a stormtrooper, you can find detailed, specific help on the 1st Imperial Stormtroopers detachment.

Detachment forums are the number one place where we all get our builds going and once ready to submit, then you can come back over to these forums to get ready to submit for approval. The folks you would send approval pics to are one of our Armorers. Info on how to do that can be found here:
