Star Wars Camp

Today was the first of two appearances scheduled by the Carolina Garrison at the annual Star Wars Camp held by the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry in Charleston, SC. This is a great museum made especially for kids. Although the house was packed with the general public (which we also posed for pictures with) we mainly spent time with a core group of 55 kids who were just registered for the Star Wars Camp. Girls and boys. It was nice to see a mix. We surprised the kids while they had watermelon and came around to all of the tables to speak with them. We let the children participate and raise their hands to ask us all sorts of SW related questions. After questions, we marched in a parade through the Museum and everyone was in awe of our armor. Always a great feeling. We brought a few treats for the kids to take home: Lego Star Wars stickers, info about the Galactic Academy as well as some Star Wars crossword puzzles. We are scheduled to make our appearance once again in early August.

Thanks...it was fun. We're doing the event again in early August. They were both called Darth Vader by the children quite a lot
