The Sumter Fan Con turned out to be a pretty good time. After hearing about the young Michael Morones, I contacted Nuklear Comix (the organizers of this event) and scheduled a Blast-A-Trooper to help raise money for the family. Everyone participating seemed to be making the same 2 hour trek to Sumter, SC. After leaving my house @ 6:30am, I picked up Brad Lee and we arrived at the event location around 8:45am. The Fan Con began at 10am. We setup the BAT "arena" and suited up in just enough time for the doors opening. It was a pretty steady group of people willing to donate and blast us with Nerf guns. The Con was full of comic shops dealers, artists, tshirt vendors, SC Ghostbusters, Mystery Inc. (along w/ the Mystery Machine mobile), cosplay queen T.C. Dangerous and of course, the 501st Legion.

The Blast-A-Trooper total raised was $218.26 (not sure where the 26 cents came from) for the Michael Morones Foundation. Also, David Jordan came up with a cool idea to bring in a blank (solid white) My Little Pony and we all signed it with our ID#'s and initials. He said he'd bring it to a few more troops so other members can sign it. Once he gets more signatures on it he's going to send it to Michael Morones as a gift from the Garrison. I'm also currently in talks with Albin Johnson to get an R2KT / My Little Pony patch made to raise even more $ for the MM Foundation. Albin was totally on board when I mentioned this to him. Very exciting. Here are some photos from yesterday's fun.

Participating Troopers
1. Jason Boyd (Sandtrooper)
2. Brad Lee (TIE Pilot)
3. David Jordan (Biker Scout)
4. Derek Nieman (TIE Reserve)
5. Tom Gardner (Tusken)
6. Chad Varn (Rebel Legion guest - Episode III Obi-Wan Kenobi)

Special Thanks to our Blast-A-Trooper Game Handlers / Nerf Herders:
1. Deana "Tig" Pollum
2. Nicole

Here's a small video of a guy who paid $20 to shoot multiple guns at all of us at once (I think Brad was walking around while we did this)
