Today's troop in Mt. Pleasant, SC was a success. It was shorter than most troops but we had a good time. Pack 502 invited us with open-arms. Upon arriving I was unsure I was in the right place, but as I walked in the building, they had the podrace scene from Episode I playing on a giant projector with the subwoofer's rocking. They were testing the projector. The organizer's were the local Cub Scout Pack 502 of Mount Pleasant, SC. The banquet they held consisted of scouts receiving rewards & badges, lots of photo ops, a catered lunch, raffle for Star Wars toys and contest for best Star Wars themed cakes and / or dessert.
The event was from 11-1pm and there was a crowd of about 75 people (including Scouts and parents). During opening ceremonies, we were introduced and entered the room while they played the Imperial March. Felt cool walking into the room with such a great song playing in the background.
After we made the round's and participated, we suited down, packed up and were told they had some food for us. Little did we know, Outback Steakhouse catered the event. Needless to say, the troop's ate well. We were treated to grilled chicken breast, green beans, potatoes, 8oz. filet, salad and sweet tea. Not a bad spread.
Thank you to the following troop's:
1. Stuart Eaker (IG)
2. Ronnie Boyd (TI)
3. Jason Boyd (TD)
4. Chris Gould (TB)
Honorable Mention
Never got his name...but someone involved w/ the Scouts rented the Rubie's Supreme Vader and stood with us.
