Mike Kiker is a friend of the Legion and a huge Star Wars fan. He requested that we show up for his wedding at Charleston Air Force Base this past weekend. We didn't really have a lot to do there, but everyone was super excited to see us. Many of the guests and wedding party had Jedi outfits and the high-end commercial lightsabers. I brought out my box of repainted Hasbro and Rubies blasters for the kids to play with. We posed for pictures and stood by as Mike gave a speech to his guests about the Legion and our dedication to charity. Then he passed around a collection box for a charity (can't remember the name) that rescues stray dogs and trains them as service animals for veterans. I'm still waiting for more photos from the wedding and a total on how much money was collected. I have the photos here that Alex took with his phone, so, I'm sorry if they're a little blurry. I guess mercs shoot as bad as troopers!

Troops in attendance:
Chris Gould (TB)
Taylor Seay (TB)

Rebel Legion - Brad Butler (X-Wing)
Mandalorian Mercs - Alex Smith

He still hasn't gotten the pictures from their official photographer, but he sent me a few that he had posted to facebook.

And the charity was Canines for Service (4th picture). They collected $400 for them.

What a "different" wedding. Not very traditional

I believe the wedding ended long before we got there. Alex called him that morning and told the rest of us that the new plan was to show up at 1:30, when he had originally told you the wedding was at 1. So, I think by the time we were suited up, it had been an hour since the service and people had changed into more comfortable clothes, although I do think some of the guests and wedding party wore jedi outfits for the service.
