(SC) XCON VII (May 16 & 17)

Well...another XCON has come and gone. This year was an absolute blast for me! Beside the fact that I always have a blast doing the 501st Legion stuff I was also able to experience my wife's first CON with her and I got to meet Mike & Ming from AMC's Comic Book Men.
My wife, Caroline, helped me setup, man the table all day Friday as well as act as photographer the whole weekend while she cosplayed (for the first time) as Belle. We arrived at the Convention Center about 1 hour before the door's opened to the public. Got the table set up and were ready to rock-n-roll by 11:45. We were the only one's there to help represent the Garrison on Friday. We had a great display of helmet's, brochure's, temporary tattoos as well as whole plethora of Trading Cards to give away and much more. Friday was very chill but I still managed to take lot's of picture's. Friday I wore my Tusken Raider. We also had R2KT patches on sale and were able to sell a few to raise money for various R2KT charities.
Saturday morning was crazy from the start. As we carried gear down from our hotel room, we saw the line's already forming. This was an amazing day. The 501st table was constantly visited and we were giving out so much info for those who were very serious about wanting to join our ranks. And the amount of picture's we posed for was astronomical! That's one of my favorite thing's to do it pose for pictures. Visitor's were astonished by our quality of armor. I also had the opportunity to show off my newly finished DLT-19 which got many compliments, which is always a plus. I hated having to leave XCON but I'll definitely be back next year. This is one of my favorite CONS. It's so well done.
Trooper's on Duty:
1. Jason Boyd (DZ & TD)
