On June 17th the Old Salem band had Movies and Musicals night. The Old Salem band is the nations oldest all volunteer band. They invited various characters from movies and musicals to attend. By far the three amigos from the Carolina Garrison were the most popular. We didn't know what to expect as far as the crowd but we were plesently surprised. All and all it went very well. The director was very pleased and has asked us back already for a future event.
Troops attending:
1: Brian Dudas - Blackout
2: Austin Tyner - TK
3: Matt Mascorro - TD
Handlers: Much thanks to these ladies for all they do for us
1: Kenya Thompson
2: Victoria Griffie and her son Keegan
3: LuAnn Mascorro and daughter Madison

The Winston Salem Journal newspaper posted pictures of us on back to back days in the paper. Here is what it looked like.

The following email was sent to me from the director the day after the event:
Matt, I can’t thank you and the guys from 501st enough for being at the Salem Band Concert last evening and for making it a special event for band and audience, especially the kids. I had a blast and we are loving the great photos with the Storm Troopers! We all recognize how hot it must have been in costume – I really appreciate you being there.
I have an all-John Williams concert in mind for a future summer program – I hope we can collaborate again.
Sincerely,
Eileen and the Salem Band
