Heroes Con 2014 Charlotte NC was a successful mission for the Carolina Garrison (June 19-21).
Heroes Con is one of the largest 3 day cons in the area with artist comic book celebs, costume contest, panels and lot more! It has been growing exponentially every year.(one small part of the con floor. it also has panal on 2nd and 3rd floors
Some of the cosplayers on Saturday!

A great all around con!!

Where the Carolina Garrison Of the 501st Legion Bring Order to HeroesCon!
Normally the Garrison only gets an 8 foot table and a few passes. I had been bugging the poodoo out of con Staff to allow us to have more space and we would make it epic for the Heroes Con Attendees.
We got green lit and I built a few large sets (Trash Compactor,Mos Eisley Street/door scene with Jawas and droids and Fall of Endor) Mos for all to have fun in the Galaxy Far Far Away.... Have more that I am building look for them soon!
Trash Compactor

Mos Eisley Street/door scene with Jawas and droids.

The Fall of Endor

We had several members helmets and weapons on display. Star Wars music and all lot of 501st costumes!!!

I wanted and had in mind a mini Star Wars Celebration/a taste of the galaxy far far away.... I think it hit its' mark!! At some points, we had attendees line up to get into the Carolina Garrison booth to look and take photos and enjoy a wee bit of the Galaxy far far away...
Make A Wish
Attendees love the larger amped up 501st booth soooo much some wanted to donate to us. We told them we do this for the love of the Galaxy far far away, but if they felt the need to donate, please do so to Make A Wish!! (we had to do a make shift jar for Make A Wish (it was not planned to do this) From attendees loving the sets/booth, they donated $323.41 for Make A Wish at the 3 day con. (not bad if you look at it that this was not our mission/goal at the event)
