(NC) Oct 25 - Nerd Wedding and Fall Fest (Kannapolis)

Greetings Imperials!
The raid on the Nerd Wedding was a success! The husband and wife have now joined forces and the Nerd Kingdom rejoices now that they are Mr. and Mrs. King!!!!!!!
If there was a movie or television title for this, it would be called "Kings of the Geek Galaxy".
The ceremony was held at the Kannapolis Fall Festival and Art Show in downtown Kannapolis and the Tusken Raider (aka: me) and a Mando (Jesse Martin) were there. The Tusken Raider and the Mando got there a little early to have some fun with the Fall Festival go'ers while waiting on the Nerdy Nuptials!
Now I have been to a lot of weddings, but this one was my favorite of all time. Not just because of seeing two friends of mine stand in front of one another with their loved ones and friends looking on and confess their eternal love for each other, but also in the way that they did it "Geek Gala Style"!!!
They had a Tardis, the Tusken Raider and the Mando front and center for the ceremony. Normally at weddings, you try to hide the weirdo's, but not here!! LOL 
The lovely bride was escorted to the alter while the song Hooked On A Feeling (Guardians of The Galaxy Soundtrack) played.

Even the Minister started the ceremony out with the wedding speech from Princess Bride, with the whole "Elmer Fudd tone"!!!

Shelia ans David wedding vows consisted of the normal "love and honor....in sickness and health", but also some of the things that truly test a marriage and relationship like: David vows to always pick up his dirty socks and underwear and put them in the hamper and to always put the toilet seat down, while Shelia vowed to David that she would never get angry with him if she cannot get his full attention while football is on television or he is intensely playing a video game and will always scratch his back when he ask for it, no matter what.
When the rings were handed to the Groom, the Tusken Raider, being who he is, tried stealing them, both!!!
The Bride being stunned and shocked at this action
Shelia yelled out: "NOOOOO! DON'T LET THE TUSKEN RAIDER GET A HOLD OF THEM!!!" then she grabbed for them!! Lesson of the day, no matter where, what, or how, if the Tusken Raider sees something shiny, he is going to try to take it! 
After the I Do's, the kiss, and "love you", "I know", the Groom picked his new Bride up and did a "Speedy Gonzalez" for almost a block.
At the reception, the Nerdism continued, even with the cake and the cutting of the cake. The cake was a three layered cake with a Tardis and "A Nightmare Before Christmas" Sally and Jack Skellington as Bride and Groom cake toppers.
The Bride and Groom used the Tusken Raiders Gaffi Stick to cut the cake. Then afterwards, because of using the Gaffi stick, everyone had to go get a tetanus shot!!! LOL joke
By the way, I still have cake frosting on my Gaffi Stick from the cake cutting. It will come in handy for a snack at those loooong 501st Troops.
Plus, there were two hundred cupcakes, as well. Let me tell you folks, they made sure that no one was going home from that reception without having a major sugar buzz!!
Finding somebody in this world that is you soul mate is one of the hardest things that you will ever do, almost like Indiana Jones looking for the Ark. But when you do, it has the magic of Harry Potter, the wonderment of Disney World, the action of any Marvel Comic, with the Allspark and the Force wrapped together. This is what I see that David and Shelia have found.
