Carolina Garrison

On Dec 6th 2014, Members of the Carolina Garrison teamed up with the Winston Salem Marine Corps League to have a Toy Drive. The drive was held at Toys R Us. It was a cool rainy day but shoppers braved the weather to see some of their favorite Star Wars characters and donate to a great cause. lots of toys were collected on this day. One of the boxes bottom fell open as they were carrying it out from all the toys. Troopers mingled around the toy store, posed for pictures and caused mayhem whenever they could. The Marine Corps League was very pleased with the event and want to work with us again in the future.


Special Thanks to all Troopers and Wranglers. On Christmas day a child somewhere will smile because of the work you have done.

Jason, you can set up any event you would like to and post in the Garrison Events - Discussion, we have seen one man troops for all types of events. and for long you will have a group up there that you will have a grand army of CGrs in the Kill Devil Hill. soooooon....

Can we find out how many toys were donated? That's reportable on the charity reports. Let me know before the end of the month.

it will just not till the info for the Charity for the end of the year is done......

There is not a way of knowing the total number of toys collected. We collected eight total boxes full of toys. Even if we had a total number of toys we can't put a dollar amount on it because all the toys have different values. Event was a great success and I'm sure the kids were happy on Christmas morning.
