[UPDATED 03/10/2018: Fixed Broken Photobucket Image Links]

Hey all,

Just placed my order this morning for my armor. Ordering from Troopermaster. Should see the brown box in about 3-4 weeks.

Still collecting bits and pieces here and there. Any interest in an armor party in August? Would even be willing to host (Clemson)

Picked up my Hyperfirm E-11 a few weeks ago, still find myself walking around with it making Pew Pew Pew noises :)

Picked up a Husky bin, using it for tool storage right now :) May have to do some customizing on it while I wait for my armor.

More to come...

Nice work, TrooperMaster is awesome armor. My TK is TM.

Good luck, and just ask if you need any help.

Thanks Jason, I am sure I will have lots of questions.

Would love to see if I can get an armor party going in August.

Can host one here in Clemson or I can travel so if you hear of anything....

Thanks

Bob

Brown box made it across the pond, thanks Paul!...

Felt like opening presents on Christmas morning :)

Already starting to panic a bit, I am sure I will have a lot of questions! I will be getting started this weekend with the helmet.

This is probably going to be quite a slow build compared to most build threads I have seen. I am in the last semester of my AAS degree and will be continuing on for a BS in Computer Science. Right now I am in the midst of a Senior Project for my AAS as well as two other courses. I also still have two kids at home, one in High School and the other in College and I spend quite a bit of time with them between school and hobbies. My son is working on a Scout Trooper from SC. My daughter, who refuses to join the Empire, is working on Jaina Solo :)

My plan is to update this thread weekly. Stay tuned........

Bob

Hi - good luck on the build - my parents live on Keowee - I have built 2 SC kits - one white and one shadow - if your son needs any help - tell him to reach out to me.

After the panic sets in, then the fun begins. Great kit. TrooperMaster is a very nice rig. Let me know if you have any questions as well.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, much appreciated!

Started working on building my ABS scrap pile :)

Image

Hard to believe all that is just from the arms.

Image

I am pretty much done for the night. Hands are sore from the scissors but it was fun and I am feeling much more confident...

Image

I will be removing the return edges on the wrist end of the forearms later. I will also trim the seam edges when I do the fitting.

I am pretty happy with the progress so far, haven't screwed anything up yet :)

I will move on to the legs next weekend.

Thanks for looking. Let me know what you guys think...

Bob

pretty good so far.

I found when I built my armor that the thighs gave me the worst problems getting them sized properly but the shins were pretty easy

Well, I worked on the legs the other night. The left one at least :)

I still need to trim the edge seams, will do that when I do the fitting.

I also think I need to refine the returns a little more, will do that during the fitting as well.

I was a little worried about the length of the thighs but I think they will be ok...

Let me know what you all think. Until next weekend...

I have pretty much everything I need to complete my build with the exception of the under suit and the neck seal.

I am pretty sure I am going to go with the Veedox neck seal. Any tips on finding compression wear with minimal logos?

I have been scouring Amazon but anything that looks like it will fit the bill either is not available in my size or is way too expensive.

What brands are you guys wearing?

Thanks

Bob

Well, time to dust off this thread and get my build back on track. It has been way too long.

I spent the weekend fixing countless broken Photobucket image links here, Whitearmor.net and Bikerscout.net for both mine and my son's threads.

What a mess, fortunately I had backups of everything. I created an account on imgur and moved everything there.

Anyway, I am really hoping to get both mine and my son's builds done by Dragoncon this year.

I am looking forward to getting back into the build and I am sure I will have lots of questions over the next 6 months :help:
