The event was held in a large room at Logan's Roadhouse in North Myrtle Beach - the room was a party room separate from the main dining area of the restaurant. It was decorated extensively in Star Wars gear, there were about 50+ people in attendance. I was amazed that almost every attendee was wearing Star Wars shirts, hats, etc. There were action figures posted at key locations, some of the women even had Star Wars jewelry on - the honoree's wife had a nice Millennium Falcon necklace on that I spotted through fogged green lenses...and his daughter was dressed as ANH Leia...
Our secure dressing room was a small bathroom, and secure storage was small areas at the end of the tables. We opted to dress in the parking lot and parked the vehicles staggered against a hedge for privacy - we all had arrived already wearing under armor so no laws were broken. We got management approval as well.
There was a nice ramp from the parking lot to said meeting room with no steps that I can only assume was meant for those of us that have uniform mobility issues.
We arrived to applause, took pictures throughout and even a few photos with staff members.
We took a few other photos in the restaurant - made a final rounds and wrapped up the troop.
We didn't have a handler for this event so we are awaiting photos to be emailed to us. I'll update the post as they arrive.
501st / Carolina Garrison Troopers Attending:
1. Jeffrey Miller (TD)
2. Greg French (TD)
3. Michael (Sith Bone) (TS)
Without a handler, we forgot to take a uniformed photo - we were all wearing our own Star Wars propaganda but that photo didn't come out... Greg was excited to show his BB8 shirt...

...and after a hard day trooping...no bartender in sight...

...but we found some hostiles...
