I'm new to this but I've always loved Star wars. Ran in to the 501st at the Fayettville comic con and have been looking at the 501st since. I'm interested in getting started and doing a Tie pilot, I'm to short to be a stormtrooper so not going that way but I would be interested in meeting someone in the local area to talk more about everything and learning about costume making.

Hey i'm also short (5'3) and i'm in the middle of doing a TK myself

so you can stand next to me , but i also have a TIE pilot i'm working to start. head to the Jolly roger squadron and they give you the info needed to get started like armor/flightsuit providers
the only issue is they take time, i just ordered my TIE Helmet and armor/chestbox and they said it would be 30-34 weeks!

Hi David,
We need more Star Wars troopers in the Fayetteville Area. We have a few working on costumes for the Rebel Legion as well. We have a few located here in the Hope Mills / Fayetteville area, but most are in the Raleigh/Durham area. Good luck with your Tie Pilot. Be fun trooping with you since I also do an X-wing Pilot. I was Obi Wan at the Fayetteville Con and also had KITT (Knight Rider) out front.

Welcome to the boards! Don't get discouraged about your armor taking so long, just enjoy the anticipation of it coming in! Feel free to ask any/all questions!

Howdy,
I'm somewhat close out here in Raeford. As far as questions go I'm not sure I would be much help since I'm a newbie myself

Hey Soggy...
I'm a former 501st member from between 2002-2005 (TK-083: Retired), and I've just started the process of re-enlisting, as well as getting my son started on the path of a TK. I live here in Fayetteville and would be more than willing to help you out with my knowledge, message me...

Hey Dave. Welcome. Tie pilots are awesome. I've built two this year, working on a third now.
I have an RS, Tambo , and now a nice. I must say , so far the nice ( Walts Trooper Factory ) is the sharpest, shiniest and was the easiest , cheapest and quickest to acquire. Working on getting the chest and armor from him now.
Wampa wear has the jumpsuit and gloves.
Tigg-Wolf creations for the belt
Elvis Trooper for your code cylinders
Boot barn, boots
And a balaclava finishes her off.
Good luck. Holler if Ya have any questions.
