We were invited by Cinebarre (movie theater / restaurant) to join them in the Mt Pleasant Xmas parade this year. Of course the biggest movie event of the year is less than a week away, so Cinebarre had a Star Wars themed float. They had an X-wing and a Tie Fighter surrounded by theater employees wearing every costume they could find in our local year-round Halloween costume shop. This is a parade of lights beginning at sundown, so the theater worked hard covering those starfighters with lights and it looked really impressive. They also had a sound system blasting music from the original trilogy to set the mood.

Theater employees dressed as Clone Wars Obi-Wan and C-3P0 walked alongside 501st and RL members giving out free movie passes, while the others rode on the float soliciting cheers from the parade watchers. People screamed with joy when they saw Chris and Taylor's Biker Scouts leading the float full of their favorite characters. Our own local X-wing and Tie pilots high fived kids along the route while our Tusken raider weaved in between grunting and howling as they are known to do.

Great report. It was tiring in my Tusken but had a really fun time minus the blisters I ended up getting.
