The Mercs informed me of a 9 year old girl with leukemia who was told by doctors she would pass away in September. She is still with us fortunately and her family is reaching out to the Star Wars clubs to arrange for a possible appearance. Vader is her favorite (of course!) and if there are any interested Vaders closer than me to Greenville, SC, and you are interested, please let me know and I can arrange the event. I have the contact info, but the Mercs want to see if the Legion can have a Vader attend before making a hard date.

We've got a guy Building a Vader here in MB. But that's about 5 hrs away.

I'm about five hours away myself, but I'm heading to Florida for the holiday, then overseas until April. I don't mind the drive for such a good cause, just won't be here to make it.

I might be able to assist. I'll have to check on dates.

Hey Jerry, if you find out the dates and if you think they want an R2 with you let me know and I'll try to swing it.

Did we ever receive a date for this?

I was told the date would need to be coordinated directly with the family of the little girl if we had a Vader that could attend: Julie Mueller - (864) 551-8145 (grandma) or Justin silvers (828) 305-8848 (grandma's helper).

Anyone heard anything else on this. I'd be interested if it's on a Saturday or something.

just noticed the date on this, hope that nothing has happend yet... and if she is sitll with us we do need to do this.. otherwise i think this post needs removed. thats what i get for being gone for so long..
