From NC, curious about maybe joining

I've been doing various costuming things for years and years, and one of my planned costumes for this year is an Imperial Cadet. I don't know if Cadets are ever going to be 501st official, but if they are I'd love to try and be good enough to join. I already have a helmet from Fiernock Base Designs, and just need to get it properly padded and fitted. Any thoughts on if this is maybe a possibility, or nah, I should just make the costume for myself and not worry about anything official?

I've seen the AT-DP driver, but haven't seen anyone do a cadet yet. I'm not sure if anyone has in the Legion, I'd love to see one though. Welcome to the CG!
