This was actually 2 separate events at the Memminger Auditorium in downtown Charleston, SC. From 11am-3pm, it was an all-ages vendor expo. I set up a collection of Star Wars props and 501st signage before suiting up as a Biker Scout and taking photos with excited fans for over 3 hours. Based on the t-shirts, merch and costumes of the morning, Star Wars was definitely more popular than any other pop culture property.

From 7pm-11pm, the venue was turned into a costume dance party, where I switched alliances and joined the Mandalorian Mercs, flanked by another Biker Scout, a Tie Pilot and an X-wing pilot. There were some great costumes present and the master of ceremonies was Darth Nihilus. Early in the evening, Darth Revan approached me to ask how he could go about joining the Mandalorian Mercs. There were several female Darth Vader costumes and a few Leias. A couple of martial arts professionals performed a light saber battle. The costume contest was won by an amazing Groot (on stilts).

Troops in attendance:
Chris Gould - Mando and Biker Scout
Taylor Seay - Biker Scout
JP Morgan - Tie Pilot reserve
Brad Butler - X-wing pilot

Thanks. I haven't worked on Fett since December 2012 (when I really started work on my Biker Scout). He's far from 501st approvable, but I'm proud of how much I built by hand over close to 3 years. I only get to wear it around Halloween now, but he looks good on a mannequin. Gotta get some arms so I'll have a reason to show off gauntlets.

Great work. The setup looks good. Always like seeing the Gonk Droid. How were the crowds?

We'll just use the 501st flag and few table items I let you borrow @ the upcoming Capt's Comic Expo (along with other table things) if you just want to hold onto them for now.
