This was the first time members of the Carolina Garrison have worked a National Hockey League game, and very exciting. It was a Friday evening game which made our big turnout even more impressive. We had troopers come from the beach and Charlotte. Troopers Jason and Luis came from OBX, and Hill even managed to represent with three generations; bringing his son James and grandson with him. The Canes did a great job of supplying friends and family with tickets behind their bench and a few rows back from the ice.
Image
Despite coming from so far away the OBX troopers including handler and friend Chris Osgoode were the first to arrive. Not long after "Matt" who I'm 90% sure is Kylo Ren arrived to coordinate paperwork for everyone.
Image
With all our legal rights successfully waived we entered the bowels of the PNC center, and our changing room called "The Ice Box". The amazing turnout from Carolina Garrison, Blue Ridge Base and Talon Clan, meant you couldn't swing a Jawa in there with out hitting a Mando or Rebel. We know, we tried!

The many elevator rides back and forth to the concourse where some of the strangest of my life, and i can only guess what the elevator operator was thinking.
Image
We had three stations for photos around concourse with the Mandos speeder at one of them. Stations each had a mixture of characters from the three groups, and the Canes supplied staff for photos and security.

Highlights for the Garrison were having Having Jason' Fett' Hill and Darth Luis Revan ride the Olympia ice smoother during the first intermission, and watching David "Tusken" Carta slung across the ice by a giant rubber band, and into a bunch of giant bowling pins, for a strike!
Image
Image
We suited down at the end of the second intermission and the socializing began in earnest. Marred only by a disagreement between Andrew who wanted to go to O'Malley's, and Liz who though Carolina Ale House a better choice.
Image
But the matter was shelved when Curtis...I mean Matt, threw Tyler through a drink machine to get everyones attention, and the final buckets off and a lot of costumes too shot was taken!

This troop was a real group effort, and special thanks go out too our Rebel and Mando friends, and to Ryan O'Quinn and the Hurricanes staff.
Image
WE earned $1611.00 for Make a Wish, by way of the auctioning of six Hurricanes items during the evening. Supporting Paperwork will be posted and shared as it becomes available.

What a great troop guys. Great turn out and awesome the money that was raised. After the troop we got an email from the legion side, seems Our own Luis Coronado had a fan from the game and wanted to thank him for how gracious he was while is costume. Great job Luis. I also would like to thank Curtis Smith for all of his hard work behind the scenes. We spent many hours on this event to make sure it went off without a hitch. Great job Curtis.
