New from Charleston

My name is Kat, and even though I've been a costumer for 16 years, I have somehow never before attempted anything from Star Wars. I've looked up to the craftsmanship and dedication of the 501st for a long time, so I decided it was time to join up! I'll start out by saying thank you to everyone for your resources and assistance here (and on the other detachment forums). It has been a world of help.
I joined the forums back in February after Captain's Comics Expo after attending a very encouraging Q&A panel, but I'm still getting familiar with using forums, so I haven't been very talkative. I am currently working on a Darth Maul costume, but while I'm awaiting certain pieces to arrive in the mail, I've started working on an Imperial Bridge Crew costume as well. (There is so much sewing and pleating in my near future.) Maul won't likely be done until mid-2017, but I hope to have the other completed sooner rather than later.
I look forward to talking with you all, and perhaps even trooping with some of you in the future.
