NMB Community Band: Pops in the Park Concert

The NMB Community Band is providing an outdoor concert at the NMB Park and Sports Complex Amphitheater. We will be performing the Star Wars theme that features John Williams' new arrangement of his work from The Force Awakens.

We were hoping to have 2 stormtroopers on stage while we perform this piece which will last about 5 minutes. Afterwards the 2 can mingle with the crowd for photos and autographs.

We would gladly provide drinks and snacks for an appearance. Sorry this is such short notice, but I figured it was worth asking!

Time: 5pm for the outdoor concert. Would expect any stormtroopers to check-in to the park no later than 4:30pm.

If it rains the concert will be moved indoors to a nearby location with a start time of 7:30pm. If this happens I would understand if your volunteers were unable to make it.

I received a message from this group on one of my Facebook pages. I spoke to Bone at the Pelicans Game and he nor I can attend. I haven't heard from Greg yet. I'm going to go ahead and let them know that them know that 2 of the 3 locals aren't able to attend and it's likely that we can't make it this year.

Marty - thanks for contacting me about your event. We have your event posted on our internal events forum as well.

Unfortunately, we only have three local members. We had several out of town members in town last Friday night for an event at the Pelicans stadium. We discussed your event to see if the locals were available or if members could come into town from Charleston or other areas. As of right now 2 of the 3 locals are unable to attend (I haven't heard from the 3rd member yet as he's working out of town) and I haven't been able to find members that are able to visit from out of town.

I'll send you a message or call you if I'm able to find members that can attend. Please keep us in mind for future events.
