Hello from SC!

Hello! My name is Mark,
I am 19 years old and like all of us a huge Star Wars fan. From quite literally the start of my life I fell in love with Star Wars, dating back to when I was six months old. As a baby my parents took my other two siblings to the special edition screenings of the original trilogy back in 1997. Surprisingly me being a six month old baby I was wide awake the whole time and loved it. My parents told me I never fussed and was very excited about what I was seeing and knew they were about to raise a Star Wars fan. They were not wrong, throughout the years my love grew and I became a bigger fan every year, I was a Jedi, Clone Trooper, Stromtrooper, and even Jango Fett for countless Halloweens. I played outside with the plastic lightsabers with friends, I loved my Star Wars filled childhood. As a kid I always wanted to be a Stormtrooper. Of course that dream became a reality with my first encounter with the 501st. I saw them in full suit and was amazed, I wanted to do that when I got older. Now anyone that knows me, knows that I love snipers. Every game I play I am always the sniper, and Scout Troopers have always been my favorite. I love the look, what they do, and of course the bikes are pretty awesome! So it wasn't a hard choice for me on what character I wanted to be. The only real difference between wanting to join as a kid and now as an adult (lol but not really, still a kid at heart and I'm not 20 til November) is that I have two reasons for wanting to be part of the 501st. I have a soft spot for kids, all my life kids have always loved me, and I have always loved kids. I have four young ones, two nieces, and two nephews, that are very dear to my heart. So when I looked more into it and saw the smiles all of you bring to the children I knew I had a bigger reason for wanting to join. I wanted to be one of the people that could bring a smile to kids heart. Now that I'm 19 my dream is becoming a reality, I'm hoping to have my armor kit built and ready before Halloween so I can go back to being a kid again...just with a much better costume. The other reason being that I want to start trooping as soon as possible. So with all that said I am hoping to get into contact with the other scouts of the Carolina Garrison, and attend an armor party once I get my kit! I look forward to meeting you all and hopefully trooping with you.
