(NC) April 30th - Hickory Con (Hickory)
Posted: Tue May 03, 2016 10:16 am
Date:April 30th
Location:Hickory Convention Center, Hickory, NC.
Description of the event: NC's largest one day Con and it really showed this year. The Con opened up at 10 am with a line that had already formed though out the building. We are given a table each year for the draw that the 501st has at the con. I had brought with me several helmets to display on the table. The Con itself consisted of Comics, Toys, games, Artist, and Cosplayers. There was over 1600 people that came through on Saturday, with over 100 vendors. We hung out around the table answered questions, posed for photos, and walked around the con in costume. We also has a couple of aspiring member drop by the table to talk about their armor and builds they were currently working on. About mid day there was a Costume Contest, which the Star Trek group, the Morganton Spider-Man and I judged. At 5pm the Con closed. This was by far the best Hickory Con and it seems like it will only get bigger and better from here. the next HickoryCon will September 24th! Thank you all again!

Shannon Cromer TK10139 -Stormtrooper
Jackson Stull TK2063 - Stormtrooper
